ROOF MODULE FOR A MOTOR VEHICLE

The invention relates to a roof module (10) for a motor vehicle, with a frame (12) which is assembled from respective longitudinal frame elements (16, 18) determining the size of the frame (12) and transverse frame elements (20, 22), which frame elements form the connection of the roof module (10) to corresponding roof frame elements (32, 48) on the motor vehicle bodyshell side, and with at least one cover element (42, 50) which is accommodated by the frame (12), wherein at least one of the n frame elements (16, 18, 20, 22) is divided into a design-overarching functional part (38, 52) having a standard profile cross section for a plurality of designs of the roof module (10), and into a design-specific frame part (24-30), wherein the functional part (38, 52) and the frame part (24-30) are connected to each other. Furthermore, the invention relates to a modular system for a roof module (10) of this type.
