Zusammenfassung:	A method for assembling electric switching systems includes wiring and/or connecting electric components together at specific connection points may be used in conjunction with an assembly support device for simplifying and/or checking the assembly of such electric switching systems. A respective component which is provided for connecting in the switching system is identified by an identifying device. At least one target connection point where the identified component is to be connected is determined by a connection point determining device on the basis of the component identified by the identifying device, and the actual connection point where the component has actually been connected is monitored by a monitoring device. If the detected actual connection point deviates from the target connection point, an error message is output.
