A stator (30) is attached to the drive hub (24) at stator fastening portions (34) exposed through the rear wall (12) of the tub (14). A reinforcing cap (10) is fixed to the structural ribs (26) of the rear wall (12) of the tub (14). The bearing housing (40) of the drive hub (24) extends rearwards through a portion of the reinforcing cap (10). The stator fastening portions (34) are exposed through the reinforcing cap (10).
