SAPLING CULTIVATION APPARATUS AND SAPLING CULTIVATION METHOD

A sapling growing apparatus (1) includes: a carriage (30) including racks (33) in eight tiers and traveling along a circulation path (20) in indoor space externally shielded from light and externally heat insulated; an LED (71) mounted on the carriage (30) and emitting light to the multiple saplings in a tray (34) on the racks (33); a watering unit (60) arranged in the indoor space and supplying water to the saplings in the tray (34); a water vapor generator (40) and a cold air flow generator (50) that creates given temperature and humidity environment in the indoor space; and an illumination management unit (101) that creates light environment distinguishing between day and night artificially by turning on and off the LED (71). A large number of saplings are grown uniformly on a large scale while being moved in a circular pattern under the artificial growing environment.
