Zusammenfassung:	A fixing device for securing into a hole (30) in plasterboard and providing an anchor point for affixing a load to said plasterboard, the device comprising: -a body (12) configured to be retainable in said hole; and -a resiliently flexible, elongate bracing member (10) of length greater than an axial dimension of said body (12) and having an opening for receiving an external retention device (28, 128) for enabling manual retention of said bracing member (10) in a bracing position with an inner surface thereof against the rear of said plasterboard, in use, after insertion thereof through said hole (30).
