Zusammenfassung: | The invention concerns a system (1) and a method for acquiring biometric data from the iris or irises of an individual located in a defined space (21), comprising at least one first camera (11) suitable for continuously acquiring an image stream and for determining the 3-D position of the eye of the individual, at least one second high-resolution camera (12), a positioning means (13) for positioning at least one camera, a central processing unit (CPU) suitable for controlling the cameras and the positioning means, characterised in that: * the position of at least the second high-resolution camera (12) is controlled according to a first setpoint value C1, value C1 being determined from the 3-D position of the eye, * the second high-resolution camera (12) comprises at least one active lens (121) suitable for focusing f0 the optical system and continuously oscillating or scanning the focus within a range around said focusing value f0, value f0 and the length of the range and the pitch of the continuous oscillations within said range being controlled depending on a second value C2 determined from the distance from the eye, a third capture distance information value C3 being transmitted to a module for processing the iris biometric data. |
