Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for bleeding a slaughtered animal that is transported along a conveyor axis by means of a conveyor device and that bleeds during the transport. The slaughtered animal is forcibly deflected sideways from the conveyor axis along a section x during the bleeding stage, in order to strike an impact element under the force of gravity after being swept aside by the forcible deflection, the impact element being arranged along the conveyor axis.
