Zusammenfassung:In order to overcome the limitations and problems that earlier apparatus and earlier methods have experienced, a flameless thermal oxidizer (100; 200; 300) is proposed, said oxidizer (100; 200; 300) comprising at least one baffle (101; 203; 301, 303, 305) constructed and arranged in a reactive chamber (114; 214; 314) of the flameless thermal oxidizer (100; 200; 300) to coact with a diptube (218; 318) of the flameless thermal oxidizer (100; 200; 300) to radially expand a resulting reaction envelope (128; 228; 328) from the diptube (218; 318) outward into a porous matrix (116; 216; 316) of the flameless thermal oxidizer (100; 200; 300). A related method of controlling a reaction envelope (128; 228; 328) in a porous matrix (116; 216; 316) of a flameless thermal oxidizer (100; 200; 300) is also proposed.
