Zusammenfassung:A process for monitoring a ground-engaging product (15) for use on earth working equipment (1), the process comprising:- installing a monitoring device (25) in a recess (50) in the product (15) at the time of manufacture,- shipping the product (15) with the monitoring device (25) to a customer,- using the monitoring device (25) installed in the recess (50) to track the shipping progress of the product (15), track the customer inventory levels of the product and/or track when the product (15) is removed from inventory for use, and- using the monitoring device (25) installed in the recess (50) to identify and wirelessly communicate characteristics of the product (15) during use by the earth working equipment.
