Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a marking device (1) for specifying a position marking (16) on a bearing surface (17) for a workpiece comprises a drive device (3) for swinging a marker light (4), a marker light (4) for generating a light mark, and a transmission (5 ) for converting a rotational movement of the drive device (3) into a pivoting movement of the marker light (4), wherein the drive device (3) is connected with the marker light (4) via the transmission (5) such that a resulting movement of the position marker (16 ) on the bearing surface (17) is linearly related to a rotational angle of the rotational movement of the drive device (3) in a less than 10% deviation manner.
