Zusammenfassung:	A seal assembly (200) and method of directing fluid flow away from a seal. The seal assembly (200) comprises an inner seal member (214) coupled to a rotatable shaft (216) and an outer seal member (210) which is either rotatable or static. The inner seal member (214) has a plurality of knives (212) spaced apart from each other and extending radially away from the shaft (216). The outer seal member (210) has a rub surface (208) disposed to abut a terminal edge of at least one of the plurality of knives (212) to thereby form a seal. An outer knife (219) of the plurality of knives (212) of the inner seal member (214) extends axially at an angle and is adapted to direct fluid flow away from the seal (200).
