Zusammenfassung:	A wireless charging system (10), such as one used to charge electric vehicles, includes a number of charging stations (12A-B). As a vehicle (22) approaches the charging stations (12A-B) it transmits a signal commanding all of the charging stations (12A-B) to transmit a magnetic station identification signal (18), each having a unique pulse pattern, through their source coils (14A-B). The vehicle (22) will then receive an identification signals from one particular charging station (12A) through the vehicle's capture coil (38) and based on the unique pulse pattern of the identification signal received, transmit another signal instructing that particular charging station (12A) to begin generating a charging signal and instruct the other charging stations (12B) to stop transmitting their identification signals.
