Zusammenfassung: | An access point device, in particular for a wireless local area network (WLAN), including a plurality of antennas, a transmitter configured to transmit a first beacon signal in a first direction, using at least one of the antennas, and transmit a second beacon signal in a second direction, which is different from the first direction in azimuth and/or elevation, using at least one of the antennas. A client device, in particular for a WLAN, including at least one antenna, and a processor configured to receive at least two beacon signals from at least two access point devices, and estimate location information, in particular longitude, latitude, and/or height of each of the at least two access point devices, based on the at least two beacon signals, in particular based on a content of the signal and/or a power value of the signal. Related apparatus and methods are also described. |
