Zusammenfassung:	A buffer conveyor comprises a endless conveyor belt (2) having a transport path (6) with a dynamic part (11) having a U-shape and being displaceable in the longitudinal direction of parallel legs of a static part (10). The U-shaped dynamic part (11) is provided with a radial guide (15) for supporting the conveyor belt (2) in radial direction, an outer vertical guide (17) and an inner vertical guide (16) for supporting the conveyor belt (2) in upward direction. The static part (10) is provided with an outer vertical guide (20) and an inner vertical guide (19) for supporting the conveyor belt in upward direction. At the overlap between the dynamic part (11) and the static part (10) at least the inner vertical guide (19) of the static part (10) is moved away from the dynamic part (11).
