Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for identifying a characteristic curve (33, 34) representing a stationary relationship between an input/output behaviour. In order to improve the quality of a characteristic curve, a pair of values of an actual input and output is associated, in increments of time, with a segment in said characteristic curve (33, 34), the actual output being compared to an output that is stored in the characteristic curve, and this output stored in the characteristic curve (33, 34) being corrected or adapted.
