Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to a process for producing fluorinated alkenes, the process comprising the steps of a) providing a microwave plasma in a reactor chamber with a reactor wall, and the reactor chamber having a longitudinal axis; b) introducing a protective gas feed into the reactor chamber, the protective gas flowing such that a continuous reaction zone extending along the longitudinal axis of the reactor is created; and c) contacting a conversion feed comprising at least one fluorinated linear or branched alkane having from 1 to 10 carbon atoms with the plasma as well as an apparatus and the use of the process and the apparatus.
