VEHICLE LAMP AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING A LIGHT FUNCTION BY MEANS OF A VEHICLE LAMP

The present invention relates to a vehicle lamp having at least three light sources 4, which are arranged in different positions S1, S2, S3, an optical element 7 that comprises a multiplicity of facet areas 9, wherein the directions of light beams that can be emitted by the light sources 4 in the direction of the facet areas are alterable by the facet areas 9, and a control unit 6 for actuating the light sources 4. The vehicle lamp 1 according to the invention is characterized in that the positions and/or orientations of the facet areas 9 relative to the positions of the light sources 4 are arranged such that from a particular viewing position P, which is remote from the vehicle lamp 1, at least one light beam L1 -1 that is emitted by a first light source 4-1 and the direction of which is altered by a first facet area 9-1 given a first facet position (F1) is visible, a light beam L2 -2 that is emitted by a second light source 4-2 and the direction of which is altered by a second facet area (9-2) given a second facet position (F2) is visible, and a light beam 3-3 that is emitted by a third light source 4-3 and the direction of which is altered by a third facet area (9-3) given a third facet position (F3) is visible, wherein the first, second and third facet positions F1, F2, F3 are each arranged at an interval from one another. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for providing a light function by means of such a vehicle lamp 1.
