COFFEE EXTRACTION DEVICE AND METHOD

Provided are a coffee extraction device and a coffee extraction method, which are capable of extracting coffee from a coffee capsule (capsule coffee) and the like. The coffee extraction device can comprise: a coffee extraction unit on which a coffee capsule is to be mounted; a pump for pressurizing water and supplying the same to the coffee extraction unit; a flow rate sensor for measuring the flow rate of water to be supplied to the coffee extraction unit; and a control unit for controlling the operation of the pump on the basis of the flow rate to be sensed at the flow rate sensor. In addition, the coffee extraction method can comprise: a pump operation step of operating a pump in order to supply high pressure water to a coffee capsule; and a re-extraction step of stopping the operation of the pump and then re-operating the pump, when the flow rate of water to be supplied to the coffee capsule is smaller than a set flow rate. According to the coffee extraction device and the coffee extraction method, the pressure of water (steam) to be supplied to a coffee capsule is varied, thereby obtaining an effect of enabling stable coffee extraction even if a blocking phenomenon occurs in a coffee powder accommodated inside the coffee capsule.
