Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for operating a compressed air system (1) of a motor vehicle, wherein, during a charging phase, ambient air (2) is pumped into a compressed air tract (4) by a compressor (3) and dried therein by an air dryer (5), and wherein, during a regeneration phase, dry air is directed from a compressed air reservoir (6) through the air dryer (5), by means of which said air dryer is dried, and the compressor (3) is simultaneously cooled, wherein the mass and/or the volume and/or the pressure and/or the temperature of the pumped air and/or the temperature of the ambient air and/or of the lubricating oil lubricating the compressor (3) and/or the humidity of the ambient air (2) is detected by sensors and integrated, and that, in dependence on the at least one integral, switching occurs from the charging phase to the regeneration phase. The invention further relates to a corresponding compressed air system (1).
