Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a food preparation device (9) comprising: - a casing element (1) and a rotatable work tool (202) that comprises an internal drive member (260) arranged in an axial recess having an lower opening with an annular bearing surface (250) surrounding the lower opening and resting on a bottom (10) of the casing element (1); and - at least one work member (232) extending along the periphery of the annular bearing surface (250). According to the invention, the internal drive member (260) extends completely above the bottom (10), and the rotatable work tool (202) comprises at least one deflecting side wall (270) arranged between the lower opening (262) and the work member(s) (232). Said deflecting side wall (270) rises above the bottom (10), from the annular bearing surface (250), a distance to the rotational axis (Δ) increasing in the rotational direction of the rotatable work tool (202).
