Zusammenfassung:	The present invention relates to an automatic gear train for motorized seatbelt retractors (1), comprising a driving pinion (17), a ring gear (19) and a planet carrier (23) carrying a plurality of planet gears (25). The ring gear (19) is axially displaceable along a central axis (27) of the gear train (3) between a first position, to which it is biased and in which it is free to rotate about the central axis (28) of the gear train (3), and a second position, in which it is rotationally locked with respect to a stationary portion (41) of the gear train, and configured to move from said first position to said second position as a function of a load level on the planet gears (25).
