Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for coating a tension member, in particular for conveyor belts, in particular a tension member which is in the form of a steel rope. The method according to the invention allows complete penetration of the tension member structure. The method comprises at least the following steps: - reversible compression of the tension member (2), which is designed in the form of a rope structure (2), during coating for a short time and - penetration of the coating mass into the opened rope structure (2), the rope (2) being completely penetrated.
