Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed are an electrochemical device and a method for manufacturing the same. The electrochemical device includes an electrode assembly that is formed in such a manner that a first electrode, a separator, and a second electrode are wound in the form of a jelly-roll shape, and includes a hollow portion in a center thereof, a first tap plate that is installed on an upper surface of the electrode assembly to be electrically connected to the first electrode, and includes a first through-hole corresponding to the hollow portion in a center thereof, and a second tap plate that is installed on a lower surface of the electrode assembly to be electrically connected to the second electrode, and includes a second through-hole corresponding to the hollow portion in a center thereof.
