Zusammenfassung:	The disclosure relates to an automated device for analyzing drilling cuttings, the device comprising: - a sampler for sampling drilling cuttings; - an analysis unit for analyzing the treated cuttings; wherein the analysis unit comprises: - a preparation apparatus able to grind the treated cuttings into a powder and a pelletizer to compact the powder into a pellet for X-ray analysis; - an analyzer; and wherein the automated device comprises a transport unit for moving the analysis sample from the sampler to the analyzer, and a control device configured to trigger the operation of each of the units according to a predetermined sequence.
