Zusammenfassung:	In one aspect, the present disclosure is directed to a bearing compartment sealing system 100 including a bearing 118 for supporting a shaft 30. A housing 102 encloses the bearing 118 and defines a compartment 120 for holding lubricant therein. At least two seals 104, 106 are located between the shaft 30 and the housing 102. The at least two seals, the housing, and the shaft collectively enclose the compartment. Only one of the at least two seals is a hydrodynamic seal 106.
