Zusammenfassung:	An air maintenance tire assembly is disclosed comprising a tire (2) having a tire cavity (4) bounded by first and second sidewalls extending to a tire tread region; and air pumping means for generating pressurized air for maintaining air pressure within the tire cavity (4) at a preset pressure level. The air pumping means (50) includes a first or upper mounting plate (20) fixed to a vehicle rim (1), a second or lower mounting plate (30) fixed to the rim (1) and located diametrically opposed to the first or upper mounting plate (20), a dynamic mass (40) pivotally attached to the first or upper mounting plate (20) at a first end (41) of the dynamic mass (40), and a pump (50) fixed to the second or lower mounting plate (30) and pivotally attached to a second end (42) of the dynamic mass (40).
