CONTAINER WITH AN ADJUSTABLE CONSTRUCTION

The invention relates to a container, in particular an event container, comprising: a basic module (1) that is configured to be placed on a mobile platform, said module having a floor element, a roof element (3) and lateral wall elements (4a, 4b); at least one expansion module (2) associated with one of the lateral wall elements (4a) of the basic module (1) and designed as a bay projection (5) that can be shifted or deployed relative to the basic module (1) in order to adjust the container size and that is inserted into a wall opening formed in the corresponding lateral wall element (4a) of the basic module (1); and a lifting device for lifting and lowering the container by means of respective length-adjustable lifting supports (6) associated with each corner of the container. In order to minimise the risk of injury from the lifting supports (6) and to effectively prevent damage to said lifting supports (6), the container is characterised in that the long side (7a) of the bay projection (5) on the expansion module (2) has respective L-shaped wall elements (10) extending at each side, said elements being designed such that they cover their respective lifting supports (6), both in the retracted/withdrawn state and in the extended /deployed state of the bay projection (5).
