The invention relates to vehicle tires, in particular for use under winter driving conditions, comprising a tread with profiled positives, for example profiled blocks (1) or tread strips, which are separated from one another by grooves (2) that circulate in the circumferential direction, transverse grooves (3), and the like and in which incisions (4) with a small width (b) are formed, said incisions running substantially in the axial direction, crossing through the profiled positives, and being delimited by two incision walls (5, 5'). Each of the incisions (4) has a depth of at least 70% of the profile depth (Tp), and at least one of the incision walls (5, 5') has a depression (6, 6') in the incision interior, said depression increasing the water absorption capability of the incision (4). The depression (6, 6') is located radially within a depth of 50% of the profile depth (Tp) and is surrounded on the edge side by at least 2 mm of the incision wall (5, 5').
