Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a method for circulating a metal bath (10) in a metallurgical vessel (4), in which a flushing gas is introduced into the metal bath (10). The invention further relates to a furnace system (2) for carrying out the method, having a metallurgical vessel (4). According to the invention, in order to prevent damage to the furnace system (2) during circulation of the metal bath (10), the flushing gas is introduced into the metal bath (10) in such a manner that the metal bath (10) carries out a predefined, directed flow. It is further proposed that the furnace system (2) has a measurement device (12) for monitoring a flow pattern of a metal bath (10) situated in the metallurgical vessel (4).
