Zusammenfassung:	A method of fabricating a fan case (62) for a gas turbine engine defines a metallic ring (64) including an outer surface (66) and an inner surface (68). A first composite material (70) is assembled about the outer surface (66) of the metallic ring (64). A second composite material (76) is assembled about the first composite material (70). The first composite material (70) and the second material (76) are cured about the metallic ring (64) within a tool (100) to form a first subassembly (75). The first subassembly (75) is removed from the tool (100). A fan case assembly for a gas turbine engine and a gas turbine engine are also disclosed.
