The subsea circuit breaker comprises a circuit breaker enclosure (20), first and second contacts (30, 35) and an electro-mechanical actuator (40). The subsea circuit breaker (10) is also furnished with a mechanical transmission means (70) for opening or closing the contacts (30, 35) in response to a mechanical command operation from the outside of the circuit breaker enclosure (20).
