Temporary local operation comprising a mobile operating unit, room device, and system for temporally- and/or locally-limited control of comfort variables and the infrastructure of a room via a mobile device of a user, e.g. smartphone or tablet computer, wherein the mobile device is not part of the infrastructure of the room, but instead is the property or in the possession of the user. A secure access to control functionalities for comfort variables (e.g. temperature control, ventilation control) or access to infrastructure present in the room (e.g. telephone system, projector) is provided by a release code that is only available locally.
