The rotary compressor may include a first case in which a stator may be provided, and a second case provided at one side of the first case and to which a compression mechanism may be coupled. The second case may include a first extension to which the compression mechanism may be welded, a step that extends to be stepped from the first extension, and a second extension that extends from the step. The second extension may be welded to the first case.
