Zusammenfassung:The present disclosure relates to an aerosol-generating system comprising an aerosol-generating device (102) and a charging device (100). The aerosol-generating device (102) is a device for consumption of an aerosol-generating article (104) and comprises a heating element (134) and a rechargeable power supply (126) for powering the heating element. The charging device (100) is a device for coupling to the aerosol-generating device (102) to recharge the power supply (126). The system is configured to prevent consumption of an aerosol-generating article (104) when the aerosol-generating device (102) is coupled to the charging device (100).
