DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING AN ELECTRICAL PROTECTION UNIT AND ELECTRICAL PROTECTION UNIT COMPRISING SAME

The invention relates to an apparatus for controlling an electrical protection unit, comprising a transmission link rod coupled to a control lever, a device for supporting movable contacts, and a trip bar controlled by a trip device, wherein the device for supporting the movable contacts comprises a plate member which is mounted for rotation on a pivot and is in detachable mechanical connection with the transmission link rod. In the event of a fault, the trip barcauses the disconnection of the mechanical connection, resulting in automatic trip of the mechanism and separation of the contacts. The detachable mechanical connection is formed by cooperation of retention dents of the trip bar and pawls, and the disconnection of the mechanical connection corresponds to the unlocking of the pawls. When the pawls are in the locked position, the transmission link rod is at least seating on the plate member. The device comprises a rigid insert mounted on the plate member and intended to be tightly sandwiched in an area between the transmission link rod and the plate member. The area forms an area on a link rod resting plate on the locking position and includes a position for seamlessly holding the insert relative to the plate member.
