Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to hollow particles which comprise an outer shell defining a cavity and an inner material which is at least partially enclosed by the outer shell, the outer shell having a refractive index of 1.3 to 2.5 and the inner material having a refractive index of 1.4 to 3.2, and the inner material partially filling in the volume of the cavity. Hollow particles of said type can be advantageously used as ingredients for coating compositions, in particular dispersion paints, lacquers and varnishes, and plasters.
