Zusammenfassung:	A method of assembling a roof assembly for a vehicle comprises the steps of providing a first frame part (1) having a drive element guide (7), providing a second frame part (8) having a drive element guide (8) and providing a drive element (6) adapted to drive a movable part (4) of the roof assembly and being driven by a drive motor (5). The first and second frame parts (1, 2) are mounted to each other such that the drive element (6) extends from the drive element guide (7) of the first frame part (1) to the drive element guide (8) of the second frame part (2). The drive element (6) is provided as a first drive element portion (6a) and a second drive element portion (6b). The first drive element portion is pre-mounted in the drive element guide (7) of the first frame part (1). The second drive element portion (6b) is pre-mounted in the drive element guide (8) of the second frame part (2). The first and second drive element portions (6a, 6b) are coupled to each other when the first and second frame parts (1, 2) have been mounted to each other.
