Zusammenfassung:The invention concerns a reading apparatus (1) for detecting security documents (3) with an integrated RFID transponder (4), comprising a holder arrangement (2) for aligning and holding the security document, a scanning arrangement (9, 10) for optically scanning an image of a surface (4) of the security document, and an antenna arrangement (11, 12, 13; 13') for transmitting electromagnetic signals between the RFID transponder and the reading apparatus, the antenna arrangement being movable with respect to the holder arrangement.
