Zusammenfassung: | Provided is a method of manufacturing a two-piece food can having improved corrosion resistance, a metal sheet coated with a thermoplastic resin being used to manufacture the two-piece food can, and the two-piece food can being formed with annular uneven beads and/or a bottom rim. A step in which heat is applied for a prescribed time at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the thermoplastic resin, and a step in which quenching is performed within a prescribed time after the heating has been completed, are performed after a can body in the shape of a bottomed cylinder has been formed by drawing and ironing processes, and before uneven beads and/or a bottom rim have been formed in the can body, thereby making it less likely that the resin film on the inner surface will become detached during the subsequent formation of the uneven beads and/or the bottom rim, and as a result yielding a two-piece food can having outstanding corrosion resistance. |
