Zusammenfassung:The invention relates to a method (110) for operating an energy storage unit (104) for a photovoltaic system (100), the supply of energy to a public power station (114) being limited (202). Said method (1100) comprises a step of (1102) inputting, a step (1104) of determining and a step (1106) of preparing. In the inputting step (1102), at least one value (t1t2tvoll) of the photovoltaic system (100) and/or the energy storage unit (104) is input on at least one operational day of the photovoltaic system (100), which precedes a current operational day. In the determination step, a charge start time (tstart) of the energy storage unit (104) for the current operational day is determined using the characteristic value (t1, t2, tvoll) of the preceding operational day and a processing specification. In the preparation step (1106), a charge signal for the energy storage unit (104) is provided for the determined charge start time point (tstart) of the current operational day in order to operate the energy storage unit (104).
