PNEUMATIC VEHICLE TYRE

A pneumatic vehicle tyre of radial type of construction for passenger motor vehicles or light-duty trucks, having a belt (2) arranged outside the carcass (1), which belt has a belt width B measured in an axial direction A of the tyre and is composed of at least two belt layers (3, 4) which are arranged one above the other in a radial direction R and have parallel steel cords (8, 9), wherein the steel cords (8, 9) of one belt layer (3, 4) are formed in a criss-crossing arrangement, is distinguished by the fact that, between the carcass (1) and the radially inner belt layer (3), there is also arranged a band (6) of width c which extends around the circumference of the tyre, wherein 15 mm < c < 0.5 x B, and furthermore, reinforcement members (7) of textile form are arranged in the band (6) at an angle of inclination α of 20° < α < 90°; the band (6) is arranged with an axial spacing amin = 0.2 x B to both axial belt edges and intersects the equatorial plane of the tyre.
