Zusammenfassung:	A histological specimen cassette printer includes a printhead and a carriage mounted with respect to the printhead. The carriage includes a carriage base, a springboard pivotably attached to the carriage base, and a spring. The springboard has a cassette holder configured for receiving and holding a histological specimen cassette. The springboard is rotatable with respect to the carriage base between first and second springboard positions. The spring is operably connected to the springboard so as to bias the springboard to the first springboard position.
