Zusammenfassung:A food processor arrangement 10 comprising a food processor bowl, a lid 14 for the bowl (16, Fig.1) and a drive shaft supported upright in the bowl. The drive shaft 38 supports a discoidal cutter plate 12 for rotation beneath the lid 14 on an annular register 40, 42 whose outside diameter lies in a range from 20% to 30% of the diameter of the cutter plate 12. The arrangement further comprises resilient means 44 for urging the cutter plate towards the lid 14. The resilient means may comprise a spring 44 disposed within the hollow drive shaft 38 and may be mounted to bear against respective fixed components in each of telescopic parts making up the drive shaft. It may thereby tend to urge the parts away from one another and extend the length of the drive shaft.
