Zusammenfassung:A forceps, comprising: a first shaft member having a jaw member at a distal end thereof; a second shaft member having a jaw member at a distal end thereof, the first and second shaft members pivotally coupled to each other about a pivot to move the jaw members between an open position and a closed position; a trigger disposed on the first shaft member; a blade operatively coupled to the trigger such that rotation of the trigger translates the blade distally; an interference member configured to prevent distal translation of the blade when the jaw members are in the open position; and a protrusion disposed on the second shaft member and configured to move the interference member to permit distal translation of the blade when the jaw members are in the closed position.
