Zusammenfassung:	The invention relates to a laundry treatment device comprising a suds container (12), a laundry drum (14) arranged inside the suds container (12), a rotary drive (16-22) for the laundry drum (14), a control device (28) for controlling the operation of the laundry treatment device, and a vibration sensor system (40) rigidly coupled to the suds container (12) or the laundry drum (14). The control device (28) is connected to the vibration sensor system (40). In particular in a first phase (T1) before execution of a program sequence, the control device evaluates a structure-borne noise detected by the vibration sensor system. If a living being in the laundry drum (14) is inferred in this structure-borne noise evaluation, the control device (28) performs at least one suitable protective function.
