Zusammenfassung:	A battery pack (1, 2, 3) in the present disclosure comprises: a battery (10); a switching element (Q22, Q26) that is provided in a discharge path from the battery (10) to an external load and that is configured to complete or interrupt the discharge path; a control circuit (20) that operates by receiving a supply of an electric power from the battery (10), that conducts an electric current through the switching element (Q22, Q26) so as to allow discharge from the battery (10) to the external load, and upon occurrence of an abnormality in the battery (10) or the external load during the discharge, that interrupts the switching element (Q22, Q26) so as to inhibit the discharge from the battery (10) to the external load; and a protection circuit (24) that monitors an operating condition of the control circuit (20) and that interrupts the switching element (Q22, Q26) when the control circuit (20) is inoperative.
