This method comprises: heating the plate to a temperature 1 at least equal to the melting temperature of a sintered polytetrafluoroethylene; and shaping the thereby heated plate by compression in a compression mold. Applications: manufacturing of notably diaphragms for diaphragm valves and pumps.
