Zusammenfassung: | A method for manufacturing a low-cost metal gas diffusion layer for a fuel cell excellent in electron conductivity and water repellency is proposed. The manufacturing method includes step (A) in which a conductive layer of carbon film layer is formed on the metal porous body, and step (B) in which a water-repellent layer is formed on the metal porous body formed with the conductive layer, wherein the step (B) further includes a coating step (B1) in which a solution containing a fluorine resin which constitutes the water-repellent layer (B1) is coated on the metal porous body, and a water-repellent forming step (B2) in which the metal porous body coated with the solution is heat-treated at an evaporation temperature or more of a volatile component which is contained in the solution and which does not constitute the water-repellent layer and less than a destruction temperature of the conductive layer to thereby form the water-repellent layer composed of the fluorine resin. |
