Zusammenfassung:	A device for immobilizing a head of a patient comprising: a bite piece (30) configured to push a portion (200) of a formable thermoplastic mask preform (10, 20) into a mouth of the patient, the bite piece (30) having a mouth receiving end (302) and an applicator end (300);wherein the mouth receiving end (302) is configured to immobilize the head of the patient when the patient bites down on the mouth receiving end (302) and the thermoplastic mask cools, wherein the applicator end (300) of the bite piece (30) is separable from the mouth receiving end (302) of the bite piece (30).
