Zusammenfassung:	Disclosed is a method for protecting message data. In the method, the message data is compressed to generate compressed data comprising a first number of data bytes. The compressed data is padded to generate padded compressed data comprising a second number of data bytes. The second number is equal to the first number plus a pad number of data bytes, and the pad number of data bytes is determined based on a hash of the message data. The padded compressed data is encrypted to generate encrypted message data.
